Summary: MONEYWISE is a personal financial management and budgeting application designed to help users track expenses, income, budgets, savings goals, bills, and subscriptions. Financial information is entered by the user. MONEYWISE does not connect to users' online bank accounts or request online banking login credentials. We do not sell users' personal information. Cloud records are protected using authenticated, user-scoped access controls.

1. Information We Collect

MONEYWISE collects information that is necessary to provide account, budgeting, financial tracking, synchronization, advertising, and premium features.

A. Account & Authentication Information

Email & Password: If you create an account using email and password, authentication is handled through Firebase Authentication. Passwords are processed by Firebase and are not stored or viewed by MONEYWISE in plain text.
Google Sign-In: If you sign in using Google, MONEYWISE may receive information provided by Google for authentication, such as your email address, display name, and authentication identifier.

B. Financial Information Entered by You

MONEYWISE allows you to manually enter and manage financial information, including:

Transaction information such as amount, title, category, date, and transaction type.
Monthly budget targets and category spending allocations.
Savings goals, target dates, and progress information.
Bills, due dates, payment status, and recurrence schedules.
Subscription names, billing cycles, and renewal amounts.
Preferred display currency.

C. Device & System Information

The application may process basic technical information required for application functionality, compatibility, advertising, security, diagnostics, and notification features.

Depending on the services and permissions enabled on your device, this may include information such as operating system version, application version, device configuration, advertising identifiers, and similar technical information.

2. Data Storage

A. Local Storage

MONEYWISE may store financial records locally on your device to provide application functionality and offline access. Local application data is stored using Android application storage mechanisms and the application's local database.

B. Cloud Firestore

When cloud synchronization is enabled and you are signed in, selected financial records may be synchronized with Google Firebase Cloud Firestore.

Cloud data is associated with your authenticated account. Firestore security rules are configured to restrict access to authorized user-scoped records.

3. Notifications

MONEYWISE may use Android notifications to provide reminders for bills, subscriptions, or other user-configured events.

Notification information may be scheduled locally on your device. You can manage notification permissions through your Android device settings.

4. Advertising & Third-Party Services

MONEYWISE may use third-party services to provide authentication, cloud storage, advertising, analytics, and in-app purchases.

Google Firebase

Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore may be used for account authentication and cloud data synchronization.

Google AdMob

MONEYWISE may display advertisements to free-tier users through Google AdMob.

Advertising services may process information such as advertising identifiers, device information, and information used to provide and measure advertisements, subject to applicable Google policies and user settings.

Google Play Billing

MONEYWISE may offer premium features or subscriptions through Google Play Billing.

Payments are processed by Google Play. MONEYWISE does not directly receive or store your full credit card or other payment instrument details.

5. How We Use Information

Information may be used for the following purposes:

To create and manage your MONEYWISE account.
To provide budgeting and financial tracking features.
To synchronize data between your devices when enabled.
To provide reminders and notifications.
To display and measure advertisements where applicable.
To process premium subscriptions and purchases.
To maintain application security and reliability.
To comply with applicable legal requirements.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information.

Information may be processed by service providers that are necessary to operate MONEYWISE, including Firebase, Google AdMob, Google Play services, and Google Play Billing, depending on the features you use.

Information may also be disclosed when required by law, legal process, or to protect the security and rights of users, the application, or others.

7. Data Retention

We retain account and financial information for as long as necessary to provide the services or until the user requests deletion, subject to applicable legal and operational requirements.

Some information processed by third-party services may be retained according to the respective service provider's policies.

8. Account & Data Deletion

You may request permanent deletion of your MONEYWISE account and associated personal data.

Deletion may remove your account information and associated cloud financial records, subject to applicable legal, security, fraud-prevention, or other legitimate retention requirements.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

Network communications with supported cloud services use encrypted connections such as HTTPS/TLS.
Cloud database access is controlled through authentication and Firestore security rules.
Administrative credentials and service-account secrets are not intended to be embedded in the Android client.

No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

10. Children's Privacy

MONEYWISE is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If you believe that a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so that appropriate action can be taken.

11. Your Choices

You can update or delete financial records from within the application.
You can manage notification permissions through Android settings.
You can manage certain advertising preferences through your device and Google settings.
You can request account and data deletion.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to MONEYWISE, applicable laws, or the services we use.

The updated policy will be published on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date.
